AssVac
Tue, April 5, 2005 - 10:19 AMI just spent the weekend driving and listening to Sarah's latest on my iPod. While it wasn't as uproariously funny as her other works, and it shouldn't be, given the subject matter, it was a delight on many levels. Sarah is always funny, but her insight really draws me in the most. She is my favorite kind of American, and I identify with her brand of patriotism. She embraces her country with clear-minded realism, understanding that our faults are part of what has made us so great and that we can be so much better if we confront the realities of our biggest fault: Slavery. It can be corny for white people to discuss this topic, but she does it the right way, and I applaud her for it. -
