Well, while I was down visiting family in Texas, watching the continual coverage of Hurricane Katrina, it seems that Little Miss Likes to Quip was doing a reading or speaking engagement at Bumbershoot. That's Seattle's last gasp at summer. It's like most cities folklife festivals only with hippies and music instead of actual folks.
If I would have known she was going to be in town I would not have spent the 400 bucks to fly to see my family and only spent 28 each on tickets plus more on parking, food and gas. But that means I would have to be around more people.
Nope, I would not have gone unless it was just the group she was onstage with and not a huge mass of people with no interest in arts or music, just looking for an excuse to stare at scantly dressed teenage girls and hang out in the beer garden.
